New Beginnings – with Audrey Hamilton

At the beginning of this new year we invite you to join us for an opportunity to pause and reflect – on the gifts (as well as the challenges) of what has been, and on the invitations and promises of what is still to come.

The heart in pilgrimage; The poetry and prayer of George Herbert – with Chris Chapman

 We will explore the link between poetry and prayer, drawing on some of George Herbert’s best loved poems.

An exploration of simple, practical ways to maintain our spiritual, emotional and physical wellbeing.

The spirit of conversion in the life of St. Francis of Assisi – with Br. Martin Mikuskiewicz OFM Cap

Looking at the life of St. Francis more closely we can appreciate the challenges he faced and embraced, which in turn can fill us with hope in our own journey towards God.

When the saints go marching in – with Anne Booth

This day will explore the stories of the saints and their spiritualities, and the wonderful but sometimes unhelpful mixture of fact and fiction which surrounds them.

Josie will lead an exploration of how Buber can help us rediscover our awe before God and, by extension, before every person we encounter.

Donations

We invite a donation to cover our speaker’s travel costs and the lunches and refreshments we provide. You can pay on the day, or pay online when you book. We offer a Concession for the unwaged and Parishioners of the Parish of Christ the King.
